10 years ago, 1999. Design lecturer Ruth Kedar was working at Stanford University in California. She was introduced to two tech guys who wanted a designer for their website. The tech guys were Larry Page and Sergei Brin. The website was Google. Ruth tells the story about how she came to settle on the design ideas that shaped the Internet…
Once again, the Google UK homepage is not looking itself. It feels like it has been weeks since we saw the traditional minimalist logo. However, this time it is not to celebrate Google’s birthday, the start of Autumn or the Beijing Olympics. This time it is user-generated content. Logos designed by young Google users to represent a theme.
